Why is there a tools folder in the workspace?
The tools folder is for developer/content automation scripts. For example, it can audit NCERT folders, find missing notes, and help generate structured content reports. It is not a student-facing feature.
Does local mode read from upsc-knowledge?
Yes. On localhost, the frontend reads the NCERT tree, notes and PDFs directly from the upsc-knowledge repository through local Next.js API routes.
Do students need separate sign up?
For now sign in and sign up both use Google authentication. Later we can add onboarding, target year, optional subject and study preferences.
How will AI be used?
The intended AI layer includes chapter summaries, syllabus graphing, PYQ tagging, revision queues, Mains answer builders and personal study analytics.
